Back in Sinsa for the day! I found Bloom and Goute cafe! ^×^

Most delicious cakes and fragrant flowers!

A. 534-10 Sinsa-dong, Gangnam

I am so lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful people here. This week really took it’s toll but for the life of me i cannot understand why!

I am now beginning to see why people appreciate Friday night drinks.

Makgoli with some super rad kids tonight ♥

I had dinner in Sinsa with ‘OkayTina’s Tina- such a beautiful and talented girl ♡

Made me realise how much i miss Seoul.

I went into SK today today, finally, to get a phone.

I am the proud mother of a brand spanking new Galaxy Note 2 AND the awkward feature in two male employees mobile phones.

Upon finishing signing the contract, we were approached by two of the other employees and requested a photo.

Most surreal experience, in my life… ever.

Ah Korea, you strike again!

안영안양!

I am alive.

I have a sah-weeet officetel apartment.

My coworkers are amazing.

I now have my ARC card after a month of no phone.

All is well.

Will tell all when i finally get internet on Tuesday.

(Although i am rocking a rather brutal ‘new country’ illness)

KA-BLAHHMMM!
Ten minutes after my last post my visa number came through so ran to the Korean Consulate and began my visa processing. Took quite some effort to convince myself to leave the warm house into our hormonal Sydney weather.

My E2 visa is apparently single entry, but we’ll see about that….

I got the job and I leave in sixteen days.
Stressing a lot more than I thought I would but purely due to the fact I just want to be there and settled already!

I still need to book accommodation for the week I arrive to get health checks sorted but still waiting on my visa issuance number.

Squeeeeeeee!!!

On Friday i had two phone interviews with this school and i am in love.
It’s in the most beautiful area called Anyang in which the area is surrounded by 5 mountains.

The school has a playground attached and the rooms have beautiful natural sunlight.
The director had been to Sydney 20 years ago and was so excited when i mentioned i lived near one of his favourite beaches.

If i get this job, i legit will ugly cry.
Tears of running mascara and too much open mouth, possibly some dribble.
If i do, i would start 4th of March!

The wait til Monday to find out how i went in my second interview will ruin me.
I am sure putting this on here might jinx me but when i look back on this, hopefully, i will have got the job.

Crossing every limb!

DAY TEN - AND THEN I LOST MY PHONE…

Today we are headed for the Hongneung Arboretum

At Obento again, being violated while we eat.

Love this couple. Jerry and i walked past them actually in the gardens amongst the trees posing like school girls!

Australia, forever alone.

This blew my mind. All the pagodas and temples are built from interlocking wood pieces. This took my respect to a WHOLE new level. The craftsmanship is mind-blowing.

The wood made this place smell amazing!

The Hongneung Arboretum wood exhibition hall….

THIS TREE WAS PURPLEEEEEEEEEEEE!

YOU WILL BE MINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

The arboretum was interesting but not quite what i was expecting. It’s something nice to visit if you’re keen just for a wander but you can make it around the grounds in a fairly short amount of time.

We decided to head to Nakseongdae Park.

Caught jerry mid rise from taking a photo.

It was so beautiful. So lush and green and i was able to see the turning autumn colours.

Unfortunately this is the end of my photos as i lost my phone that evening.

The rest of the trip was only a few days and just relaxed really, and ate killer sandwiches; one of which i believe had almost a whole wheel of brie in it.

NB.
To anyone who doesn’t know me, feel free to ask questions if you want to know the directions to anywhere or any questions at all.

DAY NINE - VLUF + CELINE DION

We had all the intentions in the world to wake up after 3 hours sleep and visit the fish markets but instead we slept in and ate spam and eggs.

Tonight was the VLUF party and i refused to miss another one this time round in Korea so i dragged Jerry back to mine to get ready and meet up with Rach.

It was themed ‘Halloween’ and spent about half an hour tossing up whether to do heavy brutal makeup and passed on it in the end.

We headed to Seungsu station and walked a short hop down to the warehouse.
Thank GOSH we passed on the makeup side… No one had done anything.

Cheap booze and food, perfect! Two flights of music and art. It was rad!

After having a run in with a few interesting gentlemen, Jerry and i bailed back to Hongdae for Karaoke. We had the soju confiscated off us while we sang but that didn’t stop the classics coming out.

Singing My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion with a safari visual. I felt it was fitting…

Jerry’s karaoke pose, whilst singing ‘Dick In A Box’ <3

Cute paintings on the wall!

After an hour we headed back to my noisy apartment and crashed.
