I am so lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful people here. This week really took it’s toll but for the life of me i cannot understand why!
I am now beginning to see why people appreciate Friday night drinks.
Makgoli with some super rad kids tonight ♥
I had dinner in Sinsa with ‘OkayTina’s Tina- such a beautiful and talented girl ♡
Made me realise how much i miss Seoul.
Will be an ongoing feature here as my students are a little bit twisted…
A little 3 year old student was playing with my shirt and kept laughing to himself.
It wasn’t until a Korean teacher proceeded to inform me he was screamning “I HAVE YOUR BACK SKIN! I. HAVE. YOUR. BACCCCCCCCK. SKIIIIIIIIIIIN!”
After discussing the life cycle of frogs, we began to talk about the life cycle of humans. To which one child then proceeded to scream “I WAS A FEOTUS ONCE!”
I was so taken back as to how a 10 year old Korean child would know the word feotus, she said “I always think of my feet when I think of babies..”
I went into SK today today, finally, to get a phone.
I am the proud mother of a brand spanking new Galaxy Note 2 AND the awkward feature in two male employees mobile phones.
Upon finishing signing the contract, we were approached by two of the other employees and requested a photo.
Most surreal experience, in my life… ever.
Ah Korea, you strike again!
I am alive.
I have a sah-weeet officetel apartment.
My coworkers are amazing.
I now have my ARC card after a month of no phone.
All is well.
Will tell all when i finally get internet on Tuesday.
(Although i am rocking a rather brutal ‘new country’ illness)
KA-BLAHHMMM!
Ten minutes after my last post my visa number came through so ran to the Korean Consulate and began my visa processing. Took quite some effort to convince myself to leave the warm house into our hormonal Sydney weather.
My E2 visa is apparently single entry, but we’ll see about that….
I got the job and I leave in sixteen days.
Stressing a lot more than I thought I would but purely due to the fact I just want to be there and settled already!
I still need to book accommodation for the week I arrive to get health checks sorted but still waiting on my visa issuance number.
Squeeeeeeee!!!

(School name pixelated out to not risk tainting my luck!)

On Friday i had two phone interviews with this school and i am in love.
It’s in the most beautiful area called Anyang in which the area is surrounded by 5 mountains.
The school has a playground attached and the rooms have beautiful natural sunlight.
The director had been to Sydney 20 years ago and was so excited when i mentioned i lived near one of his favourite beaches.
If i get this job, i legit will ugly cry.
Tears of running mascara and too much open mouth, possibly some dribble.
If i do, i would start 4th of March!
The wait til Monday to find out how i went in my second interview will ruin me.
I am sure putting this on here might jinx me but when i look back on this, hopefully, i will have got the job.
Crossing every limb!
(All images found from the school’s feature in the local newspaper)
Whoa. I just finished my tefl.
120 hours.
(Crammed into at least half that.)
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Now to make sure i haven’t slaughtered anyone in my sleep when i get a background check and start applying.
So keen to ditch Sydney, hey…
